A group conversation can be muted in the same way that a single chat can be muted. The procedure is also rather quick; here's how to go about it: 1. Long-press the person or group chat you want to mute in WhatsApp. 2. Following that, a few icons will appear at the top of your screen. To silence alerts for the selected chat, tap the crossed-out speaker icon, which is the mute button. 3. After tapping the symbol, you'll be able to mute the chat for one of three durations. You have the option of muting notifications for 8 hours, 1 week, or forever. You can also choose to display notifications if you want. Tap OK once you've decided how long you want to mute the chat. 4. You've successfully muted a WhatsApp discussion.
